Fish oil is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains the omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors to eicosanoids that reduce inflammation throughout the body. Some experts believe that taking fish oil (in any form) can help regulate cholesterol in the body. Recent studies have suggested that fish oil may affect depression and suicide risk. The American Heart Association recommends the consumption of 1g of fish oil daily, preferably by eating fish, for patients with coronary heart disease. From what I’ve heard, they’re supposed to be good for your eyes and hair as well.
the main reasons to take them is because vitamin d is not synthesized by our livers while the rest are.therefore in order to maintain a proper proportion of vitamin d we need to take fish oil pills since they are a good source of vitamin d.famous examples are Cod liver oil and shark oil, both of which are synthesized in their livers. and which is another reason why these species are so widely hunted off the Japanese and Filipino coasts, who are the main suppliers of fish oil to the rest of the world.
