complementary and alternative medicine question by Michaela: Where and how can I study complementary/alternative medicine?

I have the intention of becoming a nurse(but I’m open for other similar professions). I’d really much more prefer treating patients from a nutritional aspect than the orthodox way. Where do I go to study??

If you want to study nutrition then you can become a dietitian.

Be aware that most alt/comp med involves self-employment. This is because much of it is unproven and not recognized by health authorities, governments etc, so individuals have to rely on themselves to ‘sell’ the idea to the general public.

If people are ill, then they go to hospital where your nursing skills will be in demand. Training as a nurse will allow you to follow a well-respected career path, also ensuring your financial security in the future. If you then feel you wish to specialise later on then you can.
